Dimitar does a Ted Talk!

Right after graduating in 2012 from the Westminster Animation course, Dimitar Petrov developed the first animated series based on folktales from the Balkans, the Golden Apple. We are so happy that he made it happen!
Here is an interview about his project.

He also recently talked about it on Ted Talk.
The talk is in Bulgarian… Must get subtitles!

Three great filmmakers off to RCA…

Natasza Cetner, Cecilia Corzo and Maria Piva have all been offered places on the Animation MA at the Royal College of Art!  You beat stiff competition for those places, and that’s not easy, but we know you all deserve the opportunity.  Have fun – can’t wait to see what you do next!

Ina is working at Cartoon Network!

Every year one of our alumni is awarded an internship at the Cartoon Network and this year the place was awarded to Ina Maksimova. She is having a fantastic time, working alongside the producers and programme creators.  Internships like this give you the best shot at a job in the industry – we know Ina, and they are sure to want to keep her on their team!

“Panelka” now showing internationally

Ivelina Ivanova’s film Panelka has striking visuals and strong content – it has been selected for two festivals, and I am sure that more success is to follow.
In September it was shown in the experimental film and video art program of LINOLEUM fest (http://www.linoleumfest.com/en) .  It has also been selected for the Late Night Comedy program of Animated Dreams festival in Estonia  ( http://www.anima.ee/ )
